Privacy Policy (GDPR)

This document describes how Learniva s.r.o. processes and protects users' personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).

Effective: this document takes effect on the date of its publication.

1. Data controller

Company: Learniva s.r.o.

Contact e-mail: hello@learniva.io

2. What personal data we process

When providing our services we may process the following categories of personal data:

  • Identification data: first name, last name, e-mail address, username.
  • Learning data: knowledge level, test results, learning progress, history of solved exercises.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, platform usage data.
  • Communication data: the content of messages sent through the platform.

3. Purpose of processing

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Providing and improving educational services.
  • Personalising learning and adapting task difficulty.
  • Communicating with users about the service.
  • Analysing platform usage in order to improve the service.
  • Complying with legal obligations.
  • Protecting the rights and interests of the controller and users.

4. Legal basis for processing

  • Consent of the data subject: upon registration and use of the service.
  • Performance of a contract: processing is necessary to provide the service.
  • Legitimate interest of the controller: improving the service and usage analysis.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation: data retention required by law.

5. Data retention period

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or for the period required by law.

Once the purpose of processing ends, personal data is anonymised or permanently deleted, unless the law provides otherwise.

6. Sharing of personal data

We may share personal data with third parties only in the following cases:

  • Providers of technical services (hosting, cloud services) for operating the platform.
  • Web3Forms, which delivers messages submitted through the contact form to our e-mail address.
  • Where required by law or by a decision of a competent authority.
  • With the consent of the data subject.

All third parties are required to observe the same personal-data protection standards.

7. Rights of data subjects

In accordance with the GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Right of access to the personal data being processed.
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure (the "right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restriction of processing.
  • Right to data portability in a structured format.
  • Right to object to processing.
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@learniva.io.

8. Security of personal data

To protect personal data we use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption, access controls and regular security audits.

If a security incident is detected, we will inform you in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR.

9. Cookies, local storage and analytics

What we store in your browser. This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. We store only two functional items: your chosen language (learniva-language) and your analytics choice (learniva-consent).

Analytics only with consent. We use PostHog (EU Cloud, Frankfurt) for website statistics. Analytics is not loaded until you explicitly accept it — before consent no script is downloaded and no request is sent. If you decline, it stays completely disabled.

What we measure. We record only a small number of specific events we have defined ourselves: clicks on buttons and links leading to the app, clicks on e-mail links, views of and interaction with the live demo, language switches, how far down a page you read, and contact-form submissions. Each event carries the page address and the language.

What we do not measure. We do not use automatic click capture, session recording, heatmaps, or automatic capture of form contents. The text of your contact-form message is never sent to analytics — only the "who are you" category and whether the submission succeeded. We do not create persistent person profiles and we use no analytics cookies.

Changing your choice. You can change your decision at any time via the privacy settings link in the site footer.

Fonts. All fonts are hosted on our own server. Your browser does not connect to any external font delivery network when loading a page.

For more information contact us at hello@learniva.io.

10. Contact and complaints

For any questions or complaints regarding the processing of personal data, contact us at hello@learniva.io.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz).
