Privacy Policy (GDPR)

This document describes how Learniva s.r.o. processes and protects users' personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).

Effective: this document takes effect on the date of its publication.

2. What personal data we process

When providing our services we may process the following categories of personal data:

  • Identification data: first name, last name, e-mail address, username.
  • Learning data: knowledge level, test results, learning progress, history of solved exercises.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, platform usage data.
  • Communication data: the content of messages sent through the platform.

3. Purpose of processing

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Providing and improving educational services.
  • Personalising learning and adapting task difficulty.
  • Communicating with users about the service.
  • Analysing platform usage in order to improve the service.
  • Complying with legal obligations.
  • Protecting the rights and interests of the controller and users.

4. Legal basis for processing

  • Consent of the data subject: upon registration and use of the service.
  • Performance of a contract: processing is necessary to provide the service.
  • Legitimate interest of the controller: improving the service and usage analysis.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation: data retention required by law.

5. Data retention period

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or for the period required by law.

Once the purpose of processing ends, personal data is anonymised or permanently deleted, unless the law provides otherwise.

6. Sharing of personal data

We may share personal data with third parties only in the following cases:

  • Providers of technical services (hosting, cloud services) for operating the platform.
  • Where required by law or by a decision of a competent authority.
  • With the consent of the data subject.

All third parties are required to observe the same personal-data protection standards.

7. Rights of data subjects

In accordance with the GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Right of access to the personal data being processed.
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure (the "right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restriction of processing.
  • Right to data portability in a structured format.
  • Right to object to processing.
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time.

8. Security of personal data

To protect personal data we use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption, access controls and regular security audits.

If a security incident is detected, we will inform you in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR.

The platform may use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the functionality of the service, analyse usage and personalise content.
